baked pears with crumble


  • 4 ripe pears
  • ⅓ cup Bircher
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp liquid coconut oil 
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • juice of 1/2 lemon

Serves: 8 people

For: gluten-free, lactose-free, dairy-free, egg-free, vegan


  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  3. Cut the pears in half, brush with lemon juice and scoop out the cores.
  4. Arrange them on a baking tray.
  5. In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, coconut oil and cinnamon.
  6. Brush pears with the mixture.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, top pears with bircher and bake for another 5 minutes.
  9. Serve immediately.

Advice: serve with some vegan coconut yoghurt.
